Few get to join the Star Wars universe. Me? I became Rebel #2 in Star Wars Battlefront - right as the franchise was making its grand return to both video games and movie theaters. :)

When Disney acquired Lucasfilm in 2012, they immediately announced a new trilogy. Three years later, as Episode VII's release approached, the Battlefront franchise also made its gaming comeback - complete with characters and maps from the new film.
That's when Electronic Arts, through S2 Publicom, invited me to lend my voice to Star Wars Battlefront - alongside Flávia Gasi, one of Brazil's foremost pop culture journalists. Despite the nerves, obviously I said YES.
I spent a full day at KF Studios in Porto Alegre recording various battle cries and short lines as the glorious Rebel #2. If you've played and heard warnings about incoming "TIE Fighters" or the rallying cry "FOR THE REBELLION!" - that's me. Well, technically Rebel #2 (who isn't the only one saying these things... but still!). I'm OFFICIALLY part of Star Wars canon now. CANON! ;D
Beyond the fun, this was EA's way to hype the game's 100% Brazilian localization. "We wanted influential community members and genuine franchise fans involved," explained Jonathan Harris, EA's Brazil Business Manager at the time.
I wrote about this experience for JUDAO.com.br, but the real treat is watching the behind-the-scenes video below. ;)
