BuzzFeed Brasil

Once upon a time, a super traditional ad agency wanted to create content with power, credibility and swagger for brands. And thus BuzzFeed Connections was born - where I worked as a writer on a team full of stars!

Wacky lists, unbelievable recipes, hard journalism. For years, BuzzFeed Brasil ruled the Brasilian internet, paving the way for outlets like Choquei. Someone recognized this power could be harnessed for advertising too... and so BuzzFeed Connections was born through a partnership with F/Nazca Saatchi & Saatchi.

The concept was simple: assemble a Guardians of the Galaxy-style content dream team of designers, illustrators, videographers, advertisers and journalists to bring BuzzFeed's legendary curation power to agency clients like Skol/AmBev, Trident, Mercedes-Benz and Shell. As one of the journalists and lead writers, I helped create some seriously buzzworthy pieces like the campaign around the first black hole image and that Bettina's first million meme. Remember? ;D

But wait - think that's all? No way! As BuzzFeed Brasil employees, we could also create posts for the main site - yes, THOSE kinds of posts. While I wasn't big on lists, I did publish two pieces I'm really proud of: a 101-question Star Wars quiz that got translated and published on BuzzFeed's international site, and an article about How Marvel Studios made Thor relatable.
