Super Borbs vs. AI-Generated Art

Why pay an app to make you look like everyone else when you can get art made exclusively for you? ;D

Remember late 2022, right during the World Cup, when everyone went crazy for AI-generated avatars? Instagram and Twitter got flooded with people literally paying apps to make their photos look like... well, everyone else who paid. Maybe you were one of them (SHAME ON YOU! ;D)... remember? Yeah, that.

Around that time—mostly as "protest," I'll admit—I tweeted an idea: "Y'all send me what you'd pay the robot for a generic avatar, and I'll make you a custom one." I dropped a random Pix key, and between matches, my phone blew up with "Payment Received" notifications. Wait, people actually want me to draw for them? :D

The next 10 days were basically an art marathon—I had to delete the Pix key, announce I was booked solid, and start a waiting list. Total madness, but it led to some seriously cool illustrations I'm sharing below.
